The delamination cell is a vertical measuring cell with a heatable glass vessel, which is used for experiments on coated samples with damage/scratches (BMW standard/VW standard).
The cell consists of a base plate, a plastic ring with an inserted O-ring, a double-walled glass vessel with 2 GL18 connections for heating, two connections for leak-free separation of the heating hoses, a cover, an Ag/AgCl reference electrode with an intermediate vessel as a Haber Lugging capillary, and an L-shaped counter electrode made of platinum-coated titanium.
The maximum width of the plate is 120 mm, and the contact opening of the glass is approx. 94 mm. With uncoated samples, crevice corrosion may occur at the pressure point due to the seal. The lid, base, and mounting parts of the cell are made of acid-resistant polypropylene.
